As a part of Carper AI, Code.AI focuses on the intersection of Software Engineering and Machine Learning. One of their main focus is on applying Deep Learning research to build intelligent systems that can code.

The scope of the project only required a logo design and colour scheme to kick off its launch. After speaking to the team and their community of users, I explored visualising the deep learning aspect of their practice by designing elements that represents human thought/intelligence - the brain. This step of the experimentation stage, saw me combining computer thinking with human thinking, it offered the team another potential avenue for their logo.

WIP Logo Options

With all the options provided, the founders chose a more coding inspired option as it is the most important aspect of the business above all else. The classic coding bracket was the inspiration behind the iconography. To accompany the icon I chose a serif font that is widely used in coding software. With the two combined, it gives a strong association to what Code.AI does.

The choice of yellow and aqua was strategically chosen to echo the brand identity of Code.AI’s mother company, Carper AI.
